The food and beverage competition "Novelty of the Year" was first held in 2024. The first experience of the competition showed that both large federal players in the food industry, such as Rusagro Group, KOMOMS GROUP, Cherkizovo, BKK Kolomensky, Remit, and local producers were interested in participating. The competition received a wide geography, as applications were submitted by producers from neighboring countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The largest number of new products were presented in the confectionery, dairy and meat categories.

Despite the fact that the competition was announced for the first time, in 2024 it collected 166 applications. The shortlist included 58 products, the preliminary selection of which was carried out by experts of the INFOLine Group, which acted as a co-organizer of the competition. Then the jury members, consisting of representatives of the largest retail chains of Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, determined the winners by voting. Awards specially developed by designers of the ITE company were received by 9 companies. The award ceremony for the winners of the competition took place during the WorldFood Moscow 2024 exhibition.

This year, the "New Product of the Year" competition will once again be held as part of WorldFood Moscow. The judges will once again examine the new products of the past year and will evaluate the uniqueness of the product, the packaging solution, marketing and advertising support, proven functionality and branding for interaction with the consumer.

Objectives of the competition:
